OECD ÜLKELERİ’NDE İKİZ AÇIK HİPOTEZİNİN GEÇERLİLİĞİ: PANEL EŞBÜTÜNLEŞME YAKLAŞIMI

Özellikle 1980’li yıllarda yaygınlaşan liberal politikalar sonrasında cari açık ile bütçe açığı arasındaki ilişki tartışma konusu olmuştur. Tartışma, ikiz hipotezini yani açığının açığa neden olduğunu savunan Keynesyen görüş değişkenler arasında herhangi bir olmadığını ileri süren Ricardian Denklik Yaklaşımı temeline dayanmaktadır. Çalışmada, 34 OECD ülkesi için hipotezi ampirik olarak test edilmektedir. Veriler 2000-2019 yıllarını kapsamaktadır. Ekonometrik yöntemde ilk serilerin durağanlığı ikinci nesil panel birim kök testleri incelenmektedir. Sonuçlar doğrultusunda eşbütünleşme testi yardımıyla analiz Analizin sonucuna göre, ülkelerinde bulunmamaktadır. Özetle, incelenen dönemde ülkeleri hipotezinin geçerli olmadığı ulaşılmaktadır. Elde edilen bulgu, görüşü destekler nitelikte olup reddetmektedir.
